LGM Industries was engaged to fabricate and install new magflows, valves, bypass lines, and other improvements to get the process working properly.

South32 wanted to reintroduce the hot caustic back into the system to recirculate the heat, with the goal of using less energy while heating caustic.

 

The scope of work in this project included:

  • Fabrication and supply of structural, mechanical and piping works.
  • Installation of insulated piping at height through pipe racks, cutting and welding of pipes in-situ, and installation of new pipe supports to structure.
  • Demolition of required equipment and piping.
  • Pipework, valve and instrument installation and testing as required.
  • Pumps installation and civil footings work.
