LGM Industries was engaged to supply and install the piping, electrical, concrete and structural components necessary to operate the SSA Anti-Caking system, supplying propylene glycol to Trains 1 and 2.
The Albemarle Kemerton Plant will include a processing facility to deliver new battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate (LiOH.H20).
LGM’s scope of work included:
- Supply and install concrete bund, footings and pipe, and IBC pedestals.
- Install the SSA Anti-Caking system including loose tanks, MCC, interconnecting piping and cabling within the system.
- Install the sump pump and discharge pipe (including support of the discharge pipe on the pipe rack).
- Install the piping and in-line items to existing Sodium Sulphate screw conveyors.
- Fabricate and dosing hatch on to the existing screw conveyor casings.
- Install the additional sampling point to match existing on screw conveyors.
- Fabricate and install platform extensions.
- Install the cabling from existing substation to the SSA Anti-Caking Skid MCC.
- Install the cabling from existing substation to the SSA Anti-Caking sump pump.
- Install the level transmitter cable from the SSA Anti-Caking Skid sump to the analog input Charms module within the SSA Anti-Caking Skid MCC control section.
