LGM Industries South West Slammers Regionals

LGM Industries is proud to be the naming sponsor of this year’s 2025 LGM Industries South West Slammers Regionals.

Hosted by the South West Slammers this popular sporting event is a chance for the region’s basketball players – boys and girls aged U13 to U18 – from each South West basketball association to compete against one another.

The carnival takes place over four weekends in seven South West locations with 14 associations competing. More than 1700 young people are expected to take part.

We are excited to be partnering with the Slammers and for this opportunity to support grassroots level sport.

The carnival tips off on Saturday 18 October at the Harvey Recreation Centre and Leschenault Leisure Centre before wrapping up on Sunday 9 November at the Busselton Recreation Centre.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer Council

LGM Industries held two Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea events raising much needed funds for the Cancer Council Australia.
On Thursday 22 May morning tea was enjoyed on site at Greenbushes with crew members committing to a minimum gold coin donation to participate. It was great to see so many get behind this important cause.
The following day our Picton East team brought morning tea to share with their colleagues and a minimum gold coin donation. This event was also well attended with the fabrication and administration teams coming together.
A total of $367 was raised over the two events which will go towards cancer research, support and prevention.

Kaaleepga Kaada Boodja (Homeland Hills on Country)

In 2024, LGM Industries proudly commissioned Noongar artist Joshua James to create a bespoke artwork honouring our connection to Noongar Boodja (Country).
Titled Kaaleepga Kaada Boodja (Homeland Hills on Country), the piece reflects LGM’s core values — Respect, Recognition, Accountability and Mateship — symbolised in the lower right corner.

At its centre are 10 white gathering circles, each representing an LGM worksite across the region and the strong collaboration between our teams. The colours throughout acknowledge our South West partners, with each hue linked to minerals processed by our stakeholders.

Along the base, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people are shown gathering on the hill country, paying tribute to the South West sand dunes and the coming together of cultures on Noongar Boodja.

In 2025, the artwork was projected onto Geelong City Hall during Reconciliation Week, and it will soon feature on polo shirts for our administration staff.

Dardanup Bull and Barrel Festival 2025

LGM Industries is excited to announce its support of the iconic Dardanup Bull and Barrel Festival taking place on Saturday 11 October.
This year’s theme is Off and Racing! The annual event draws close to 20,000 people to Dardanup with plenty of entertainment, market stalls, food and wine, as well as demonstrations, animals and fun for the whole family.
The festival culminates with the spectacular lighting of the fire sculpture after sunset. It is also FREE to attend!
We can’t wait to be a part of this special event which has been running the past 22 years and is completely organised by volunteers.

Cape to Cape

The Cape to Cape is a Mountain Bike Stage Race that runs across the South West region of WA.

Starting at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, participants ride about 200km across a variety of trails and tracks, eventually ending up at Cape Naturaliste four days later.

LGM Industries is proud to sponsor a small group of employees who participate in the annual event.

LGM Industries Bunbury City Classic Triathlon

The LGM Industries Bunbury City Classic Triathlon is an annual event hosted by the Bunbury Tri-Club and has been supported by LGM Industries since 2019.
There are three race distances to choose from  – Standard, Sprint and the Enticer for those new to triathlons.
Athletes can participate as a team or individual in the Standard distance which includes a 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike ride and 10 km run. The Sprint distance sees competitors swim 750m, complete a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. The Enticer length is a 250m swim, 10km bike ride and 2km run.
In 2025, the club managed to secure State Championship status.
LGM Industries is proud to be a major sponsor of the event and to be involved in the community spirit, experiencing a great day out at Koombana Bay.
