LGM Industries was engaged to install and commission 2x 25,000L (3.5m D x 4m H) replacement stainless steel 316L tanks at the Kemerton Lithium Plant to replace the existing carbon steel tanks experiencing internal corrosion.
This scope of work for this project included:
- Redesigned tanks to API650 and detailed drawings.
- Fabrication of 2x replacement tanks.
- Provision and installation of insulation and cladding prior to delivery of tanks.
- Atmospheric Hydrotesting of tanks.
- Loading and oversize transport.
- Removal of existing carbon steel tanks from process and installation of replacement tanks, including any removal/reinstallation of surrounding plant equipment and structures required to remove the tanks.
