LGM Industries was contracted for a Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) package for a chemical storage tank. LGM coordinated the surveying, shop detailing, fabrication and installation of the tank.
The scope of work for this project included:
- Designed and constructed to API650
- 9.0m diameter x 9.9m tall, carbon steel tank
- 547,000L capacity
- Tank internally sealed with surface treatment to 3000um thickness
- Oversize deliveries requiring multiple traffic pilots
- Coupled to existing structure and pipework
- Construction was performed while surrounding plant was operational, utilising scheduled shutdowns to avoid production loss during tie-ins
