Job Description

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Promote the consistent application of HSEQ Plans, Procedures and Forms across all project work sites. As necessary, educate site personnel in company HSEQ requirements. (this may include one-to-one discussion or delivery of presentations to groups)
  • Maintain regular contact with all Project Managers  / Supervisors and regularly attend sites to spend time with them; Review their daily / weekly routines, their administrative processes, and their interactions with clients & site personnel in their capacity as Supervisors; provide feedback to enhance their effectiveness and mentor their approach to HSEQ.
  • Educate project personnel in event reporting and investigation requirements and the development of reports outlining root causes and proposed corrective actions
  • Propose, develop, promote, and otherwise support at project level, the implementation of safety improvement initiatives and programs
  • Complete internal audits of the company HSEQ systems on project sites, in accordance with a defined Audit Schedule; Provide written reports inclusive of observations, non-conformances and corrective actions required
  • Review existing LGM HSEQ documentation and develop revisions as necessary to ensure that systems and procedures remain compliant and meet the needs of the business

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Minimum of 3 years operational site experience, preferably within the Resource Sector
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (Diploma preferable)
  • Demonstrable background in Root Cause Investigation such as ICAM,  TapRoot or other similar methodologies
  • Demonstrable background to behavioural based practices
  • Demonstrable background in Management System Auditing (Lead Audit Qualification(s) preferable)
  • Ability to lead and influence others through strong people skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible “Can Do” Attitude
  • Team Player / Goal Oriented
  • Ability to manage stress and demands of continuous change
  • Live in the Southwest area or be prepared to relocate
